European Premodern Championship 2026 Rules and Regulations

Before participating in the tournament, participants are required to read the rules and regulations. Participation in the tournament is tantamount to accepting these rules and regulations.

  1. General provisions
    1. This regulation defines the rules for participation in the "European Premodern Championship" tournament (the "Tournament").
    2. The event is organized by Leszek Wojtan SideQuest, located at Partyzantów 13B/2 in Gdańsk ("Organizer").
    3. The tournament takes place on September 5 and 6 at the Gdańsk Science and Technology Park.
    4. Participation in the Tournament is tantamount to accepting these rules and regulations, and agreeing to comply with the instructions of the Organizer, judges, and event staff.
    5. In the matters relating to the rules of the game, the current official Magic: The Gathering rules and relevant tournament regulations applicable to the selected format shall apply, to the extent indicated by the Organizer and Tournament judges.
  2. Participants and registration
    1. The number of participants is limited and available on the event page at https://sidequest.pl/events/EPC26.
    2. Participation in the Tournament is granted according to the order of properly completed and paid for registrations, unless the Organizer decides otherwise.
    3. Participants are required to provide all necessary information during registration and present a document confirming their identity if requested by the Organizer.
    4. Participants may be denied participation in the Tournament in case of non-payment, failure to meet registration requirements, violation of the regulations, or a judge's decision resulting in disqualification.
    5. Minors may participate in the Tournament under the conditions provided by the Organizer and applicable law.
  3. Returns
    1. In case of cancellation of participation in the Tournament, the participant may apply for a refund of the entry fee in accordance with the rules specified by the Organizer on the event page.
    2. The refund of the entry fee can only be made in the form and within the timeframe specified by the Organizer.
    3. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse a refund of the entry fee in case of participant's resignation after the deadline specified by the Organizer.
    4. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse a refund of the entry fee in case of participant's resignation from participation in the tournament for reasons attributable to the participant, including, but not liumited to, absence at the tournament.
    5. The Organizer reserves the right to refuse a refund of the entry fee in case of violation of the regulations or tournament rules by the participant.
    6. W przypadku odwołania Turnieju przez Organizatora, uczestnicy mają prawo do zwrotu opłaty wpisowej w pełnej wysokości. In case of cancellation of the Tournament by the Organizer, participants are entitled to a full refund of the entry fee.
  4. Tournament operations
    1. The tournament is taking place according to the schedule published by the Organizer.
    2. The detailed structure, number of rounds, round time and rules of advancing to the nex stages are announced before the start of the Tournament.
    3. The participant is required to be present at the designated table at the time indicated by the Organizer or judge.
    4. Late arrival, absence at the designated table, or other violation of the Tournament rules may result in the imposition of an appropriate tournament penalty, including loss of a match or disqualification.
    5. All disputes regarding the course of the Tournament are resolved by the Tournament judges. All decisions within the scope of their authority are binding.
  5. Code of conduct
    1. Participants are required to behave in a respectful and sportsmanlike manner towards other participants, judges, staff, and spectators.
    2. Participants should follow basic personal hygiene practices.
    3. Spectators and non-participants are required to behave in a manner that does not disrupt the course of the Tournament, and to comply with the instructions of the Organizer, judges, technical staff, personnel, and security.
    4. The following is strictly prohibited:
      1. cheating, using prohibited methods to gain unfair advantage, and knowingly violating the rules of the game;
      2. verbal and physical aggression, threats, harassment, discrimination, and other behavior that may disrupt the course of the event;
      3. destruction of equipment, property of the Organizer, event venue, or property of other participants;
      4. being present in areas restricted from access to participants;
      5. ignoring or failing to comply with the instructions of the Organizer, technical staff, personnel, or security, especially in situations that may create a threat to the safety of the event.
    5. The Organizer may disqualify from the Tournament any person violating the regulations or tournament rules and also remove from the event area.
  6. Streaming Equipment
    1. At the Tournament venue, there may be equipment and infrastructure for internet streaming, image and sound recording, streaming production, and technical support of the event ("Streaming Equipment").
    2. There is an absolute prohibition on interfering with the Streaming Equipment by participants, spectators, non-participants and any unauthorized persons.
    3. The prohibition includes in particular:
      1. touching, moving, disconnecting, connecting or repositioning any cameras, microphones, tripods, computers, mixers, cables, transmitters, network devices and other elements of the streaming infrastructure;
      2. covering of lenses, changing device settings or changing their position;
      3. connecting your own devices to the streaming equipment or technical infrastructure;
      4. interfering with the power supply, network connections, transmission, software, configuration or technical settings;
      5. disconnecting, moving, blocking or damaging cables and safety devices;
      6. attempting to gain access to accounts, computers, devices or other systems used for recorging or streaming;
      7. attempting to take any other actions that may disrupt, interrupt, degrade the quality or endanger the transmission or the work of the technical crew.
    4. Access to the Streaming Equipment is granted only to persons expressly authorized by the Organizer.
    5. In case of interference with the Streaming Equipment, the Organizer may immediately remove the perpetrator from the technical area or the entire event area, and also disqualify the participant from the Tournament, regardless of other legal consequences.
    6. In case of causing damage, the responsible person may be required to repair it in accordance with the applicable law.
    7. Any technical problems should be reported immediately to the Organizer, staff or technical crew. Participants are not allowed to attempt to repair or reconfigure the Streaming Equipment on their own.
  7. Safety and responsibility
    1. Participants are required to comply with safety rules and follow the instructions of the Organizer, security and venue staff.
    2. It is strictly prohibited to bring any items or substances whose possession or use is prohibited by law or the venue regulations.
    3. The Organizer is not responsible for items left unattended by participants.
    4. Participants are responsible for any damage or harm caused by them to the Organizer, the venue, technical equipment or other persons.
  8. Publication
    1. Participants acknowledge that the Tournament and its participants may be photographed, recorded and broadcast live on the Internet.
    2. Participation in the Tournament is tantamount to consenting to the publication of one's image and certain personal data, including name and surname, for organizational and promotional purposes.
    3. Any recording taken during the Tournament may include the image of participants, spectators and any other non-participants present in the area covered by the recording, in accordance with applicable law and information provided by the Organizer.
  9. Final provisions
    1. The rules and regulations are available to participants before the start of the Tournament and on the event page.
    2. The Organizer reserves the right to make changes to the regulations without prior notice.
    3. The Organizer reserves the right to make any organizational changes necessary to ensure safety, undisturbed course of the event and compliance with applicable tournament rules and laws.
    4. The changes to the regulations cannot violate any rights of the participants in a manner inconsistent with applicable laws.
    5. In matters not regulated by these regulations, the relevant provisions of the law, the venue regulations, the official Magic: The Gathering tournament rules, and any rulings and decisions made by the Organizer shall apply.
    6. Entry to the event area and participation in the Tournament is tantamount to reading and accepting these regulations.
